4 New Prints
I’ve got 4 new prints in the works! After last week’s gremlin attack, this was a very uneventful studio experience. It kind of made up for all those mistakes I made and the total despair I felt the last time I printed.
Two prints from my Net Series will be printed in editions of 10. I am well on my way to completing one of the editions and will start the other one next Tuesday. NetSquared was printed from a completely new plate and I am happy to say there are no distracting spots like there were in the previous one.
NetSquared; 2014; Photopolymer etching; 8″ x 10″
This print is called CircleSquared and I intend for it to have many different iterations. I will continue adding lines on the original artwork to create new patterns in what will be at least three more states.
CircleSquared; 2014; Photopolymer etching; 8″ x 10″
Solar Mum with chine-collé (below) will be printed using various background colors in smaller editions or as unique prints. Here are 2 samples of what I’ve printed thus far:
Solar Mum Peach; 2014; Photopolymer etching with chine-collé; 8″ x 8″
Solar Mum Aqua; 2014; Photopolymer etching with chine-collé; 8″ x 8″
Love the new work, especially the Solar Mum prints! Also adore the textur In the other 2 prints! Looking forward to see elaborations on Solar Mums!
Loving all of these, but especially the CircleSquared one. Definite favorite.
Thanks!! I know how you can get one…
Wow Janett, you have some amazing drawings/prrints here. The circle square reminds me of circuit boards. I really like how on some of your other drawings you mix in mirroring. I’ve been doing a little of that as well recently. I can see why you would rather work on your art than spend all your time messing with social photosites that are going down the toilet.
Look forward to seeing more of your stuff on Instagram.

Hi Damon. Thanks for your nice message about my work. There just isn’t enough time in the day to do all the things I want to do. And the photo sites were eating away a lot of my time and giving hardly anything in return. I like how you connected circle squared to a circuit board. I hadn’t thought of that connection, but glad you did. Thx!
